Bad Boy E-Magnum Electric Mower: First Cut Experience

Check out my first mowing session with the Bad Boy E-Magnum Electric Zero Turn Mower! In this short video, I tackle ~0.5+ acres (just shy of 2/3 acre) across my lawn and my neighbor’s in Maine, using four 80V, 8Ah batteries at 100% charge. Running on the lowest speed for both cutting and driving, with standard blades, I tracked the job with the John Deere MowerPlus app. The batteries dropped to 36% when I parked, but showed 46% after a quick restart—either way, it powered through with juice to spare! Enjoy the quiet, fume-free performance of this electric beast. Stay tuned for more updates, including mulch kit tests and towing with the new hitch!

Key Points Covered:

  • First cut on ~0.5+ acres (strong half-acre) with Bad Boy E-Magnum
  • Four 80V, 8Ah batteries: 100% to 36–46% after mowing
  • Low speed for cutting and driving, standard blades
  • Tracked with John Deere Mow app
  • Quiet, powerful, gas-free mowing experience

we've got standard blades, a four, 100% charge. We'll see what we get. I'm also going to use the John Deere Mow app that tracks you, 100% charge in these batteries. You'll see I'm cutting on the lowest speed and I'm driving on the lowest speed. Lastly, between these two yards, I help my neighbor out and do his, We don't even quite have two thirds of an acre just shy. So like, a strong half acre is all in mowing. Let's try it out. When I got done mowing, it said 36%. But now that I turned it right back on, like I just hopped off to get my phone out of my pocket, this and that, turn it back on. Now it says 46, but when I parked, it said 36. But either way. We made it.
