Jeep WJ MOLLE Panels Review & Install: Organize Your Console!

I’m reviewing Echelon Design Works’ Jeep WJ center console MOLLE panels, covering their features, my thoughts, and installation on a 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ.

I bought driver and passenger side panels to test before adding more. They’re made of 3/16-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, laser-cut to MOLLE specs, and include screws and spacers. No instructions, but it’s straightforward.

The passenger side has a contoured radius matching the console. Place panels level, mark drill holes, and screw them in. I drilled the top two holes first, secured with spacers and screws, then did the bottom holes to keep it straight.

Seats may interfere with drilling rear holes, but compressing the cushion helps. Repeat on the passenger side. Attach pouches before mounting if using rigid MOLLE accessories, as space is tight once installed.

These panels are well-made; the HDPE is durable, and the measurements fit the WJ perfectly. The black color matches my black/gray interior. Be careful not to strip holes or over-tighten screws. For heavy items, consider adding center holes for six screws.

My setup looks great and feels strong. Pouches hold multi-tools, flashlights, pens, knives, or a phone. They clear console clutter, especially during off-roading. I give these a thumbs-up and plan to add more to doors, rear windows, or the liftgate.
