Trying to decide between the media duo and Black and Decker portable air conditioners. Well, look no further. Just go get the media. Call it good. Done and done.

Why is that? Well, basically it's a million times quieter, and that makes a big difference when you're trying to watch your cartoons or the things grinding right next to your head while you're trying to sleep.

There's really only three things to consider when you're buying a portable air conditioner. The first is it large enough to cool down the size of the room that you need to cool down? The second is how quiet is the unit? And third, do you have a place where you can vent it? All of these require, an external vent to the outside.

And usually a window will work just fine.

So then why is the media so much

The fan is running right now on this one, but at the lowest setting you can hear. That's the change in my voice. Just as I'm talking.

All right. This is with just the fan running.

All right. This is now with, air conditioner running.

some smartphone stuff if you're into that, which might be a plus. I don't really care. They each have remote controls where you can turn them on and off.

And change your temperature.

Installation of both of these units is kind of janky with the window vents. They'll work if it's only for a couple of months of the year. But if this is a permanent install, you'll definitely want a direct vent to the outside, similar to a dryer vent. Or maybe the exhaust fan in your bathroom. You see, these window things are kind of foolish, but it works.

So if you need a new AC this summer, the media duo is definitely the way to go and way better than those old units that sit inside your window directly. Thanks for watching.
